The Center for Maine Debris Research (CMDR) conducts ocean plastic pollution research with the hope to create an trash-free ocean. Given the interdisciplinary work needed to address the plastic issue, CMDR does research in biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, economics, and political science. CMDR's research also spans across all size classes of plastic pollution.
