Paepae o He‘eia is a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring and maintaining the He‘eia Fishpond in Hawaii. The fishpond is a traditional Hawaiian fishpond that spans 88 acres and is more than 600 years old. The organization aims to create a sustainable future for the fishpond and surrounding ecosystem by educating the community and implementing cultural practices. Through community workdays, education programs, and cultural events, Paepae o He‘eia strives to inspire and empower individuals to take action and be stewards of the land and sea.
