The Waiwai Collective is a unique group of Native Hawaiian entrepreneurs who share a deep-rooted passion for the environment and uplifting their community. Through their initiative called Ka Waiwai, the collective aims to repurpose traditional Hawaiian ways of thinking and doing to create new systems of wealth and abundance that prioritize quality relationships and the balance between people and the land. With a strong focus on sustainability, the Waiwai Collective practices composting, zero plastic and styrofoam waste, and works with vendors that reuse their packaging. By encouraging their community and partners to engage in pono practices, the Waiwai Collective is working towards re-indigenizing resource management and creating a more waiwai future for Hawaiʻi.
