How can I support flood recovery efforts in Hawaiʻi?

Our hearts are with everyone impacted by the recent flooding across Hawai’i. Mahalo to everyone who has reached out looking to learn more about how to support recovery efforts. ❤️We are following the lead of Lāhui Foundation and Hawaiʻi Farmers Union United for community and farm needs for the North Shore.

If you are looking to support, please be mindful of the space, capacity, and care needed for communities across Hawai’i in this recovery process. The best ways we can all help is by following donation guidelines of aid distribution hubs, taking the necessary steps to register for volunteer groups, follow carpool requests, and listen to what specific community needs are as recovery priorities are updated.

If you are looking to make a financial contribution to support post-flood recovery efforts, please do not donate to Sustainable Coastlines Hawaiʻi. We are asking you to instead please consider supporting boots-on-the-ground community organizations like Lāhui Foundation.

Our upcoming March ʻāina day with Nation of Hawaiʻi has been canceled and are asking those who were looking to attend ʻāina day to consider finding ways to contribute to commmunities in need of support on Saturday, March 28th. We hope to have more updates on upcoming shoreline cleanups. Additionally, we are amplifying community calls for support on our Instagram stories.
